Overview

Marks an ordinary Image as an explicit tangent-space normal map and carries its OpenGL (+Y) or DirectX (-Y) green-channel convention on the wire. It does not modify the pixels.

Usage tips

  • Connect a normal image and choose the convention used by its authoring source.
  • Connect the typed output to Tangent Normal on pbr_material.
  • A Surface normal_map is view-space data. Do not merely relabel it with this adapter; use a normal image authored for tangent space.
